About Tracie...
Hi! Welcome to my web page. I have always been passionate about working with children and have done so in many capacities: from baby-sitting as a teenager, to working as a Nanny in New York as a college student, and finally in obtaining teaching licenses in Elementary and Deaf Education. I have worked with children in small and large groups, in regular education and special education, and in schools, child care centers, and home-based environments. Once I started my own family, I decided to open a family child care program in my home (in 1999), and I provided care for 15 years. In 2014 I closed my business and resumed my teaching career working with deaf and hard of hearing students in the early childhood program. After 2 years working in the public schools, I realized that my passion truly lies in family child care. Therefore, in August of 2016, I re-opened Circle of Friends Daycare, an infant/toddler specialized program that encorporates American Sign Language and early learning activities on a daily basis. My own children are now ages 14, 20, and 23. We also have 2 fur-babies, Toby & Phoebe. Toby is a 6 year old, 20 pound Cavapoo (Poodle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross). Phoebe is a 10 month old, 18 pound Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel and Poodle cross). They are both terrible watch dogs (very submissive and love everyone) but they love the kids and the kids love them.
